How I recived extra money from youtube

Back in ’08 or ’09 I made four videos on how to make a couple string videos. I soon forgot about them. After some time went by youtube emailed me and said my videos had became popular and asked if I wanted to put adds on them to make some money. I said yes and signed up for the youtube google ads partnership program on my dad’s account. I then forgot about  it. A couple years went by and we received two checks for $114 and $106. My sister had also posted a video which went viral then had adds put on it while my dad never posted a video that got ads put on it. This is my journey on how I figured out i got about $200 from my forgotten youtube videos. I would also like to say that google adsense does not show exactly where the money is coming from, so I tried my hardest to get it as close to it as I can using the number of views show on the youtube demographics. Also one of my friends were trading BinaryOptions and made 634$ in 2 days, its crazy. I will try this out soon, ok back to my youtube story.

I am first going to show you how I get about $100 of the first check. You can see that in this picture my dad had something producing money then stopped. It then picked back up when my sisters video started producing money but my dad put ads on it after the peak and so did produce as much money as it could have, it was like getting $2000 nation 21 lenders fast. So after her video lost popularity its revenue was brought back down to about $1 and decreasing  then I am almost positive I added ads to my videos in March of 2010 because that is where the money starts to pick up slowly at first and then more as I add adds to my other videos until I had put four videos up with ads. Now, if you add all of my dad’s previous money it adds to $13.42. While if you add my sister’s money before my videos started making money she earns $15.61 and if I give her one dollor per month after that it all adds to $23.61 and that is what she earned for the first check. If you add both of those numbers together it comes to $37.03 and if you subtract that to the original $114.04 we find that I earned approximately $77.01 from the first check. Wow. That is a lot of extra money I picked-up just from the first check.

Now To prove that almost all of the next $106.58 is mine. First I will give my sister her one dollar a month for her now less-popular video. The next check came five months latter so she earns another five dollars which brings her total up to $28.61 in all. Now all the rest of the money should be mine, but if that seems a lot i will show you what makes it true. Now, if you look here than you will see that the income became high for Oct. Nov. and Dec. then drops back down a bit. When you look at the number of views from my videos producing revenue you will see that the most views i have ever gotten were in Oct. Nov. and Dec. then they dropped back down a little bit. This may also be explained by more people are watching my videos so they are getting recommended to other people when they finnish a video like it. I hope this makes it some what clear why I earned more in the last months. You can also see then drop in the las two months better from other videos but I did not want to use up more

space in this post and because this is the video that is producing most of the money. that also leaves me with $178.59 in total in both of the checks. If you are also wondering what I am going to do with this money, I am most likely  to save $100 then buy some legos with some of the other stuff. That is how I found a bunch of unknown youtube money.

Anger is not the way to solve things – anger can work to get people to do things, but it carries with it a toll or tax

Use self control strategies to release the emotion of anger properly

Steps to deal with anger:
1- identify early warning signs (triggers)
2- stop signs: settle down and pull back
3- Choose a different response (people get angry when they don’t have a plan)

Options to acting out in anger
1- talk about it
2- get some help (being able to ask for help is a very adult skill)
3- slow down and persevere (may require adjusting some expectations first)

Frustration can be a great teacher, but you need to help students get a plan together Frustration anger is different than hurt anger
– pain and stress happen in our lives, so we need to equip children to deal with hurt in life
– sometimes these are real hurts, other times perceived hurts

Anger is a response to hurt or frustration that leads to bitterness
– can lead to a rut, lifestyle and routine
– developing lifestyle choices is key

It’s not enough to be right, it is also important to be wise

When we are hurt we need to process it in our lives

Sorrow is a better response to hurt than anger
– we all need to know how to be comforted (that does not mean just eating more or playing more video games)

Anger hardens the heart

Sorrow/sadness response keeps our hearts soft

“There is another choice other than anger, it is sorrow.”

Hurting people can hurt other people: That is not an acceptable response

Listening without even saying anything can be important

You earn the right to speak by listening, especially from a child who has been hurt

Modeling a sorrow response instead of an anger response is very important too

An anger problem is a heart problem
– you can’t just focus on behavior modification

1st Grade Back to School Night

Last week was “back to school night” for primary grades at our elementary school. Rachel took some time to show and explain what she does in class with writing, art, math, and in other subjects in this eight minute video. I edited this with iMovie on my iPhone, but the final video was so big (over 600 MB) I had to transfer it to my computer before uploading to YouTube. Rachel recorded this in two pieces and I did a simple video join/combine in iMovie for iPhone.

5th Grade Colonial Living History Museum

This evening was the 5th grade Colonial Living History Museum event at our elementary school.

This is a major highlight for 5th graders, who prepare for weeks to dress and act like a character from the US Revolutionary War era. Our fifth grade daughter was Catherine Barry, known as the “heroine of Cowpens.”

Our current elementary school in Edmond is pretty huge, with around 800 total kids. This panoramic photo I took this evening of the cafeteria as the event got underway reflects how many students as well as parents are in the five fifth grade classes at our school.

The students initially paraded into the cafeteria, and performed a short, colonial-era dance together.

Next, students spread out throughout the building and took up their places as characters in a “living history museum.” Visitors (parents and siblings) could “push their button” on their nametags, and students would come to life sharing a one or two minute memorized script about the life and accomplishments of their historical person. After repeating her script more times than she could count tonight, Sarah agreed to let me record her performance after we got home. It was a LOT quieter to record at home than it would have been at school!

It was interesting to notice how many cameras were in hands tonight, and how many of the younger attendees were using smartphones as their cameras!

This was a great event and one I know Sarah will remember forever. Our son, Alexander, is in 7th grade now and clearly remembers his night as “Henry Knox!”

Rachel was pretty surprised to learn the family had to make their own clothes, give themselves haircuts, and didn’t appear to have any television or computer access. We do live in a different world!

What Do Rachel’s Parents Do?

We were asked to share some information with the class about what we do in our jobs, and especially if we use reading and math in our jobs. This was our presentation. The audio recording runs 21 minutes, 20 seconds.

I shared Rachel’s “Getting a New Haircut” VoiceThread, as well as her Zebra Print show from the zoo with her class on my iPad during our ‘talk.’

We passed out slips of paper to all the students with the web address of Rachel’s web show (www.thezebraprint.com) with all her classmates, so they’d be able to go home and see more of her shows!
