Current Affairs Books

We are having a delightful Saturday. No appointments or birthday parties, just a day to roam and loaf. I am writing this on my iPhone from a Barnes and Noble bookstore.
We are here because we love to look at books, and because I have a birthday gift card to use.

Current affairs books are always my favorites. I saw at least five books today I would like to own and read but am not getting today. The reality is that I already have started several books at home that I need to finish. I need to have a job which permits me to read uninterrupted for several hours per day. I need to be a professor.

Here are the new books I settled on for today.

Books

I have read all the Harry Potter, The Lord of The Rings, Narnia and now I am reading Eldest and Eragon for the second time! I do not know what it is about books! Thay just keep you hooked maby it just that you can get out and see anuther world or see somthing through the eyes of some one else. What books keep you hooked? I am suprised how fast I can read! I am going to reread some of the Harry Potter books.

The legend of Mulan

Sister finished a written book report about “China’s Bravest Girl” tonight, which is a book describing the legend of Mulan on which the Disney movie was based. Since mom and I went to China last month, our kids have been very interested to learn more about China and Chinese culture. This was an excellent book, and sister recorded her book report as an enhanced podcast this evening using Garageband. I also tried posting a QuickTime movie version of this to TeacherTube, but the synchronization timing got off in the uploaded version, so I deleted it. I’ve added this as the 12th example in the “Great Book Stories” project.

Nice work sister! If you have feedback for sister on her project you can either leave it here, or on the .Mac podcast page for her report.

The War With Grandpa

I just finest the book the war with Grandpa at school. It was about a kid named Pete and his Grandpa. Grandpa moved in with Pete but Grandpa moved in his room that he has had for 10 years. But Pete is not ready to give up his room. Pete goes to war with Grandpa just to get his room back. The tricks get more and more bad.
Read for your shelves to find out happens next.
