Sarah’s Appeal on Wizards of Waverly Place
Sarah wrote this letter as an appeal to my decision over Christmas break to not allow any more watching of “Wizards of Waverly Place” on Netflix.

I accept your proposal. However, as we watch this together I want us to watch and see if the characters act consistently disrespectful to teachers and adults. This, as I recall, was my main concern and complaint against this program.
Maybe when we watch this we can pay special attention to how the main characters treat adults, and keep some notes on what we see/observe.
Does that sound like an acceptable plan?
Yes this plan sounds acceptable.
It seems a pretty typical tactic in these types of shows to make the adults look silly. I remember watching Saved by the Bell with my eldest daughter (now 21) and reflecting on that.
