Maybe when we watch this we can pay special attention to how the main characters treat adults, and keep some notes on what we see/observe.
It seems a pretty typical tactic in these types of shows to make the adults look silly. I remember watching Saved by the Bell with my eldest daughter (now 21) and reflecting on that.
